WHAT IS TEXT REVEAL?
Text Reveal is a patience game. Fizbo posts a word with every letter hidden, then uncovers letters automatically on a timer, stopping one short of the full word. You answer by typing the whole word at once, exact spelling, never letter by letter; the first correct guess wins, and every second you wait helps your rivals too.
HOW IT WORKS
1START ITAnyone in a game channel can fire off Text Reveal with a single command — no lobby, no waiting.
2RACE THE CHANNELFizbo posts a word with its letters hidden and uncovers one more every few seconds. Type the whole word in chat before anyone else does.
3FIRST ONE WINSThe first correct answer takes the round, and the round is over in seconds.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Is Text Reveal like hangman?
Partly, and the differences matter. Like hangman, you are staring at a word with blanked-out letters and trying to identify it. Unlike hangman, nobody guesses letters and nobody has lives — the bot reveals letters by itself on a timer, and every player races to type the complete word first. So it is hangman's puzzle with a race attached instead of turns and penalties.
Do I guess letters or the whole word in Text Reveal?
The whole word, in one message. The letters uncover automatically as the round runs — you never submit individual letters, and a single-letter guess is simply ignored. The winning move is typing the complete word in chat before anyone else; guessing early from a thin pattern is risky but wins the round outright if you are right, since wrong full-word guesses carry no penalty.
How quickly do the letters reveal in Text Reveal?
Automatically, on a stretching timer — you never trigger a reveal yourself. The word arrives with only its first letter visible, a second letter uncovers about three seconds later, and each gap after that grows a little longer, with the revealed positions chosen at random. The bot edits each new letter into the same message as the round runs, right up until the chain stops one letter short.
Does Text Reveal ever show the entire word?
No. The reveal chain deliberately stops one letter short of the full word, so the answer is never given away for free — somebody always has to make the final leap themselves. If nobody does before the round's timer expires, the embed turns red and the bot declares “No one won”.
What is the difference between Text Reveal and Fast Type?
Fast Type shows you the full text instantly and the contest is raw typing speed. Text Reveal hides the word and drips letters out over time, so the contest is deduction — working out the word from a partial pattern and committing before your rivals do. Fast typists dominate one; good guessers dominate the other. Servers usually keep both in rotation for exactly that reason.
