WHAT IS GUESS THE COUNTRY?
Guess The Country is a geography quiz built on real photographs — an actual street, coastline or hillside somewhere on Earth. A photo drops, everyone types the country they think it is, and a rendered world map then pins each player's guess and awards points for the closest answers. Nobody is eliminated; the highest score wins.

HINTCOMMON QUESTIONS
Is Guess The Country like GeoGuessr for Discord?
It is the same core idea — identify a real-world location from a photograph — reshaped into a chat game the whole channel plays at once. Instead of dropping a pin on a map, everyone types a country name under the prompt “You have 30 seconds to guess the country”, and closeness still counts: nearer guesses score more, and the reveal map draws a line from each player’s guess to the true country. If you searched for a geography photo quiz bot, this is that game.
Do I have to guess the exact country to score points?
No — closeness pays. The exact country earns the most, but a neighbouring guess still scores well, and the round reveal makes the geometry visible: every player's avatar is pinned to the country they named, with dashed lines running to the real answer, and the guesses that landed farthest away are greyed out. Guessing Croatia when the answer was Italy is a good round; guessing another continent is not.
Can other players see my guess in Guess The Country?
Yes — guessing is public, but being right is not. As answers come in, the round message updates live with one line per player: their name and the flag of the country they guessed, in the order they answered. Copying someone is not an option, though — a country belongs to whoever names it first, and once taken it stops being an accepted answer for everyone else. What stays hidden is who is close; that only lands with the map reveal.
What does the Hint perk do in Guess The Country?
The Hint button sits directly under each round's photo. Buying one with Fizzy privately sends you a clue about the answer — it might name the continent, tell you the first or last letter of the country's name, or its length. Only you see it: the channel gets no notice of what the hint said, so a well-timed hint can quietly turn your wild guess into a near-exact one.
How does scoring and winning work in Guess The Country?
Every round pays points by closeness, and standings boards after each round track the totals — the player with the most points when the final round ends wins the game. There is no elimination, so a bad round never knocks you out; the game rewards consistency across all its rounds. A Booster perk, bought with Fizzy, raises the points you earn for the entire game, which compounds nicely for steady guessers.
